New Software Connector Increases Automation and Compliant Management of Document Repositories

Life Science Newswire, London, August 2023

An industry-leading software connector has been launched by Adlib Software, a prominent company in document transformation and workflow automation solutions, and Generis, creator of the CARA Platform for data, content, and business process management.

“Adlib’s collaboration with Generis is a significant victory for life science organizations,” according to Helen Rosen, Adlib’s chief executive officer. Through this interface, Adlib’s document rendering technology is accessible to CARA users within the CARA process, allowing clinical and regulatory associates to create submissions more quickly and accurately.

CARA is a platform for managing data and information that aids businesses in regulated sectors, including manufacturing, banking, and energy in streamlining their intricate business operations. The layer built on top is the pre-configured, out-of-the-box CARA Life Sciences PlatformTM®. The platform offers standardized applications for Regulatory, Quality, Safety, and Clinical processes supported by a single structured data lake that allows robust process optimization and provides users with rapid access to cross-functional data.

Adlib is a native system connector for the CARA Platform that uses the REST API to enable frictionless data transfer between the two systems. Adlib automatically imports all files from the CARA document library when the connection is made, together with the standard and CARA-specific metadata characteristics. After that, Adlib carries out the changes defined in its rule engines, such as OCR, custom header/footer formatting, dynamic table of contents addition, watermarking, and more.

Each document is then converted into a format that is machine-readable and consistent with regulations before being moved to a particular folder in the CARA library. Users may save spending hours managing document repositories manually thanks to this procedure.

James Kelleher, CEO of Generis, said, “We’re thrilled to solidify our connection with Adlib through this connector. With the introduction of this connection, our clients will have access to a coordinated, accurate and dependable engine that controls data, lowers submission mistakes and speeds up the completion of business objectives.
